Claremont is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. After each having a week off, they and the Los Osos Grizzlies will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Claremont is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Claremont is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing La Salle: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wolfpack blew the Lancers out of the water with a 56-7 final score. The game marked the Wolfpack's most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Los Osos, as they earned their first away win of the season. They took down Sultana 31-12 last Friday.
Los Osos' win came from a few key players Claremont will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jack Abbott, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 65 yards. Isaiah Guerrero was another key passer, throwing for 175 yards and three TDs.

Los Osos' defense didn't let Austin Mullinax, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Jaxon Bailey with two. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Claremont, their record now sits at 5-0.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Claremont has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 417 total yards per game. It's a different story for Los Osos, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 230.6 total yards. Will Claremont be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Grizzlies flip the script?
Claremont was taken down by Los Osos 34-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Wolfpack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
