The Bradwell Institute Tigers lost to the Brunswick Pirates back in February of 2022, but the Bradwell Institute Tigers didn't allow the Brunswick Pirates the same satisfaction on Saturday. Bradwell Institute came out on top against Brunswick by a score of 56-49. Given Bradwell Institute's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Brunswick is ranked 69th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parris Parham was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. The game was her 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamia Ousley, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Bradwell Institute and bumps their season record up to 11-1. As for Brunswick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradwell Institute will finish 2023 at home by hosting Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brunswick will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Beach at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
