Softball Recap: University School of Jackson Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Northpoint Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday University School of Jackson proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Trojans 20-2. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

University School of Jackson got a massive performance out of Maddie Polk, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave Polk a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Brady, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, one stolen base, and one double.

University School of Jackson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northpoint Christian only posted a batting average of .211.

University School of Jackson's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Northpoint Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

As of now, neither University School of Jackson nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
