The Green Bay Preble Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 84-63 loss at the hands of Mosinee. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (56), Green Bay Preble still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Keagen Jirschele, who scored 29 points along with seven assists and five rebounds for Mosinee. The matchup was Jirschele's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Landen Thomer, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Green Bay Preble bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Mosinee, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Green Bay Preble will head out on the road to face off against Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Mosinee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southern Door at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. One thing working in Southern Door's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
