Zhari Shipman was her usual excellent self, going 7 of 15 en route to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. Her afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Zakoreya Davis was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.
Meanwhile, Clinton's and Red Springs' contest on Friday was close at halftime, but Clinton turned on the heat in the second half with 40 points. Clinton was the clear victor by a 56-36 margin over Red Springs. The Dark Horses have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.
Clinton's win came from a few key players St. Pauls will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ciara Stuart, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 16 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoenix Everett, who posted 13 points and six steals.
St. Pauls is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Clinton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
