After having lost a blowout in their previous game against ED White, the Riverside Generals were happy to have found some success on Monday. They strolled past Westside with points to spare, taking the game 51-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Riverside also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Among those leading the charge was Kennis Gray, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. Gray is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Laila Garner, who scored 14 points.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Riverside won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mandarin at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Mandarin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Westside, they will head out on the road to face off against First Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully First Coast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Wednesday.
