Delta River recap September 24, 2013
Ben Parietti of Jesuit ran for the longest rushing play in Delta River this season against Christian Brothers last week. Parietti's team beat the Falcons as he sprinted for 80 yards on the play and finished with 280 in all.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Ponderosa beat Union Mine 30-13,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Folsom's dynamic duo of Jake Browning and Will McClure proved to be unstoppable against San Ramon Valley, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Browning threw for 596 yards and 8 touchdowns and McClure had 236 yards receiving. Josiah Deguara helped Folsom's passing attack out by catching 10 balls for 113 yards.
The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Browning and McClure proved tough for the Wolves to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Parietti was a beast in the backfield as Jesuit defeated Christian Brothers.
Browning put up the best numbers through the air as Folsom topped San Ramon Valley.
McClure had a great week catching the football as Kris Richardson & Troy Taylor's team topped Mark Kessler's team.
Parietti was the most successful running back in the league this week. Jason Elenberger also contributed to the rushing game with 119 yards on the ground.
McClure was the best receiver in Delta River this week as the Bulldogs beat the Wolves.
He was 37-48 with 1 interception.
Folsom's Browning and McClure have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Browning has thrown for 1,625 yards this season, while McClure, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 22 catches for 480 yards. Parietti from Marlon Blanton's team leads the league in rushing with 444 yards.
The Marauders moved up to 106 from 172 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Jesuit climbed the ranks as a result of defeating George Petrissans' team 52-28.
