It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northwest Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Evergreen Lutheran Eagles as they made off with a 15-3 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Travis Elmore and Marshall Guyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Elmore pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Guyer tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Elmore went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Guyer got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one double.
