The Chester Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell 57-44 to DuQuoin. That's two games in a row now that Chester has lost by exactly 13 points.
Chester's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lexie Mott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Aubrey Colvis who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camryn Luthy, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Chester's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-16. As for DuQuoin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-17 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester will take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DuQuoin, they will play host again and welcome the Red Devils, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
