Troup County will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Columbus at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Everything went Troup County's way against Ridgeland last Friday as they made off with a 32-0 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Troup County had established a 25-0 advantage.
Meanwhile, Columbus were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Spencer 42-6.
Their wins bumped Columbus to 1-1 and Troup County to 2-0. With both Troup County and Columbus swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
