The Northport Mustangs suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a rough 56-31 loss at the hands of Curlew. Northport was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.
Curlew was led to victory by Annika Baker and Emma Lena Baker. Baker scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Baker dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 steals. Baker hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. Another player making a difference was Ellie Calhoun, who scored five points along with five assists and two steals.
Northport's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Curlew, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
Northport will be playing in front of their home fans against Republic at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Curlew, they will head out on the road to square off against Inchelium at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
