Clinton-Massie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Richmond Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-41 back in December of 2024.
Defeat or not, Clinton-Massie got some senior leadership from Avden Faucett and Cale Wilson. Faucett went 6-for-12 on his way to 14 points, while Wilson went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Quinn McCoy, who posted five points.
New Richmond got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grant Hess out in front who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Dykes, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards.
Clinton-Massie's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for New Richmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.
