After a string of three wins, the Hinsdale Central Bobcats's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Mount Morris, falling 64-37. Hinsdale Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.
Mount Morris was led to victory by Anthony Hightower and Mason Santini. Hightower scored eight points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while Santini scored eight points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Hightower has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Crespo-Toledo, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hinsdale Central now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mount Morris, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinsdale Central will take on Houghton Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Morris won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Caledonia-Mumford at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Caledonia-Mumford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday.
