The Glen Rose Beavers will take on the Junction City Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glen Rose has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 492 points over their last ten contests.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Glen Rose had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Perryville on the road to the tune of 37-0. Considering Glen Rose has won nine matches by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Junction City had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against Walnut Ridge by a score of 63-50. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
Dominique Grimes went supernova for Junction City, rushing for 307 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 74 receiving yards. Montra Hankton was another key contributor, rushing for 60 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Their wins bumped Glen Rose to 10-2 and Junction City to 9-3.
