The North Hollywood Huskies suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Poly by a score of 52-50. North Hollywood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Poly apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caymen Smith, who scored ten points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Jayson Cooper, who scored 17 points.
It was another big night for JD Wyatt, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds for Poly. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Wyatt has scored at least a third of Poly's points. Kevin Lara was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
North Hollywood has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Poly, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
