Sugar-Salem's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Harris led the charge by rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Harris was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. Another player making a difference was James Chase, who rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, South Fremont's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. The match between South Fremont and Marsh Valley wasn't particularly close, with South Fremont falling 31-14.

Sugar-Salem's victory was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-0.
