The Cedar Creek Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Bridgeton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Cedar Creek's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Atlantic City on the road and fell 73-46. Cedar Creek has struggled against Atlantic City recently, as their game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Bridgeton didn't have too much trouble with Holy Spirit on the road on Monday as they won 53-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bridgeton.
Bridgeton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jameel Purnell out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Zikwon Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Cedar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Bridgeton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Cedar Creek beat Bridgeton 62-51 when the teams last played back in February. Will Cedar Creek repeat their success, or does Bridgeton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
