The Lemon Bay Manta Rays entered their tilt with the Hardee Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lemon Bay enjoyed a cozy 59-42 victory over Hardee on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Lemon Bay, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Cooper Benedict continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Luke Brown, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Hardee still got an impressive performance from Phoenix Romeo, who scored 22 points.
Lemon Bay's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Hardee, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Lemon Bay on the road again on Friday and play against Port Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Port Charlotte will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Hardee will take on Mulberry at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
