If Clay wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Beachside, they should've done a better job of containing Sammy Oliver. The Barracudas sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 71-68 win over the Blue Devils on Wednesday with plenty of help from Oliver, who posted 24 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The victory got Beachside back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beachside will face off against Christ's Church Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clay, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Stanton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
