Shipley lost against the Lawrenceville School Big Red back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Shipley took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lawrenceville School. Shipley has struggled against Lawrenceville School recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Shipley still got an impressive performance from Gyasi Miller, who scored 28 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Lange, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Shipley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lawrenceville School, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Shipley will be playing in front of their home fans against Pope John Paul II at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawrenceville School, they will head out on the road to face off against Masters at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th.
