The Creighton Prep Bluejay will challenge the Westview Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Creighton Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Creighton Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Millard West, who was ranked tenth at the time (Creighton Prep was ranked seventh). The Bluejay's pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bluejay.
Creighton Prep got a great performance from Nolan Going as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave Going a new career-high.

At the plate, Garrett Andersen and Jack Cosgrove did most of the damage at the plate: Andersen went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Cosgrove went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Andersen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hank Vosik, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Creighton Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millard West only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Westview lost 10-4 to Millard West on Monday. The loss put an end to the Wolverines' undefeated start to the season.
Ty Simms and Mitchell Piatt did some serious damage despite the final result: Simms went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Piatt went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Creighton Prep now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Westview, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Creighton Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Westview in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Bluejay have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
