The Crystal City Javelinas scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Pearsall 66-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crystal City also won the last time the pair played back in November.
Selma Flores was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 20 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Faith Martinez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Crystal City's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Pearsall, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Crystal City will be home for the holidays to greet Jourdanton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jourdanton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Pearsall, they will head out on the road to face off against Floresville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Floresville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pearsall in Texas (Floresville is ranked 427th, while Pearsall is ranked 1391st).
