The Oakes Tornadoes had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They strolled past Enderlin with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. For Oakes, this counts as revenge for the 85-47 defeat the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2020.
Enderlin's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ayden Glarum, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, and Karson Gruba who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Glarum is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played.
Oakes pushed their record up to 10-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Enderlin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakes will face off against the Broncos at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in North Dakota (Lisbon is ranked 60th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 52nd). As for Enderlin, they will head out on the road to take on the Loboes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
