It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Medford ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They managed a somewhat close 19-13 win over Somerville. Somerville can consider this payback for the 0-42 defeat they dealt Medford the last time the teams encountered one another.
The victory bumped Medford's record up to 1-3. Somerville are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Next week Medford take on Revere at Hormel Stadium at 6:00 PM. These teams both seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Somerville, they will face off against Beverly.
