The Kalama Chinooks will be home for the holidays to greet the Morton/White Pass Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kalama is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Kalama had to settle for a 52-50 defeat against Toledo. While losing is never fun, Kalama can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Toledo is ranked 113th).
Meanwhile, Morton/White Pass pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Eatonville on the road by a decisive 72-57 margin. Morton/White Pass has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kalama bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Morton/White Pass, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Kalama took a serious blow against Morton/White Pass when the teams last played back in January, falling 69-28. Can Kalama avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
