Barron will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Chequamegon in at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Barron had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 16-47 walloping at Amery hands.
Chequamegon had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest against Boyceville last Friday 14-0.
Chequamegon's lifted them to 1-0 while Barron's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Chequamegon can add another positive mark to their record or if Barron can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Chequamegon's step.
