Woodhaven has gone 9-1 against Carlson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Marauders at 4:30 p.m. Woodhaven is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
On Monday, Woodhaven beat Stoney Creek 9-5.
Natilee Pridemore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mia Taylor was incredible, firing off three triples and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariel Krueger, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Woodhaven kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Carlson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Edsel Ford on Monday. The Marauders blew past the Thunderbirds 18-1. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.
Like Woodhaven, Carlson also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Skinner. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Skinner was also big at the plate, earning two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Taylor Konkus was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Kiley Lewandowski was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Woodhaven's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Carlson, they moved to 10-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Woodhaven has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .478. However, it's not like Carlson struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Woodhaven came up short against Carlson in their previous meeting back in April, falling 8-4. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
