It was a good run, but the Eno River Bobcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Clover Garden School 40-35. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Eno River of the 46-27 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Eno River's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Hobbs, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Hobbs has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Olson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Eno River were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clover Garden School only posted three assists.
