Winner will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Stanley County in at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Winner had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 0-36 loss at the hands of Sioux Falls Christian.
Stanley County also just played their first game, also were on the road, and also didn't get the result they wanted. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 7-40 walloping at Mt. Vernon/Plankinton hands.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
