The Unity Christian Lions will head out to challenge the Fisher Bunnies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Unity Christian not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 20, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 19-13 margin over Meridian.

Unity Christian got a massive performance out of Zach Hesse, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave Hesse a new career-high. Gage Raffety was another key player, going 4-for-6 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Unity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They got six more hits than Meridian's also-impressive total of 11.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Fisher and Cissna Park, and Fisher kept the tradition alive. Fisher blew past Cissna Park 15-5 on Monday. The Bunnies have beaten the Timberwolves the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Timberwolves has come to flipping the script.
Jaymz Hammock made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up three earned runs but no hits. Hammock was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Jesse Arndt was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Weston Ensign, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
The victory got Fisher back to even at 1-1. As for Unity Christian, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
Unity Christian suffered a grim 21-1 defeat to Fisher in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Unity Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
