The McKinley Red Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 60-51 to Struthers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McKinley in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Red Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Avon Fryer, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Yaunsene Blackmon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Struthers, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
McKinley will be playing at home against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Range will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Struthers, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
