This season hasn't been kind to the Regency Christian Academy Knights, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Innovation Montessori.
Innovation Montessori's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shalom Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Trevor Thorsen was another key contributor, scoring 23 points.
Regency Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Innovation Montessori, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
Regency Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Orlando Science at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Orlando Science has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. Innovation Montessori's road trip will continue as they head out to face First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
