Football Game Recap: Clinton County vs. Caverna

Clinton County won the last time they met up with Caverna, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Everything went Clinton County's way against Caverna on Friday as the team secured a 54-6 victory. Followers of Clinton County probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Clinton County started the contest off right with 46 first-half points. Meanwhile, Caverna couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 46-0 heading into the break. The Clinton County defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match. The win bumped their record up to 4-0. Caverna are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.

Clinton County will stay at home next week against Metcalfe County at 7:00 PM. Clinton County have bulldozed their previous four opponents, so Metcalfe County might have their hands full. As for Caverna, they will face off against Washington County. Caverna come in off of five low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
