Southside extended their winning streak to five on Saturday, bumping them up to 9-7. They skirted past the DeQuincy Tigers 7-5. Seven seems to be a good number for the Sharks as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for DeQuincy, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since February 23rd.

For DeQuincy's part, Audi Flower was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Flower has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Addli Scott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Coincidentally, Southside and DeQuincy will both be playing Vandebilt Catholic the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Terriers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Sharks will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
