Walther Christian Academy is a perfect 3-0 against Our Lady of Tepeyac since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Broncos will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Walther Christian Academy has four straight wins, Our Lady of Tepeyac has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Walther Christian Academy came out on top against Northtown on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run second inning. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Pumas. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Isabella Ziupsnys made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Selah Argueta, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Rosado, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Walther Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.
Meanwhile, Our Lady of Tepeyac came up short against Westmont on Monday, falling 17-2.
Walther Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Our Lady of Tepeyac, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Everything went Walther Christian Academy's way against Our Lady of Tepeyac in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Walther Christian Academy made off with an 18-0 win.
