Pearsall has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pearsall suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 74-20 defeat at the hands of Floresville. Pearsall was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-11.
Meanwhile, Uvalde scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They skirted past Somerset 63-61. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Uvalde considering their 25-point performance the game before.
Pearsall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Uvalde, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14.
Pearsall didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Uvalde in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pearsall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
