The Edinburg Bobcats stacked a 24th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Economedes on the road to the tune of 78-29. The victory was nothing new for Edinburg as they're now sitting on 16 straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edinburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily Carranco, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Carranco hasn't dropped below 15 points for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Kimora Fagan, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Edinburg's win was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 31-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.72 points. As for Economedes, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.
Edinburg will be playing in front of their home fans against La Joya at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Joya will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1113th, while Edinburg is ranked 73rd). As for Economedes, they will head out on the road to challenge Mission at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
