The Carmi-White County Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gallatin County Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carmi-White County will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Even though Carmi-White County has not done well against the Wolves recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Carmi-White County secured a 47-41 W over the Wolves. Given Carmi-White County's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Wolves are ranked 475th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Gallatin County had to suffer through a rough 53-19 loss at the hands of the Pirates. Gallatin County has not had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Carmi-White County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. As for Gallatin County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-14.
Carmi-White County strolled past the Hawks when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 58-40. Does Carmi-White County have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
