Cowanesque Valley is 0-3 against Mansfield since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cowanesque Valley Indians will look to defend their home court against the Mansfield Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Cowanesque Valley has not done well against Sayre recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. Cowanesque Valley secured a 53-48 W over Sayre.
Meanwhile, Mansfield can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Canton 65-38 at home. The victory was nothing new for Mansfield as they're now sitting on four straight.
Mansfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karson Dominick, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Dominick is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Tayton Strange was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Cowanesque Valley now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mansfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Cowanesque Valley came up short against Mansfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2015, falling 52-45. Thankfully for Cowanesque Valley, Bo Burleigh (who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
