Baseball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Sierra Grande

Sierra Grande put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Center Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Kobe Mizokami made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Mizokami was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Mizokami is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Sierra Grande let Luis Roybal and Maximus Roybal run wild. Luis scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Maximus scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Luis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Garrick Pettigrew, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sierra Grande was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .417 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
