The Stanhope Elmore Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with an 80-69 victory over Prattville. The victory was some much needed relief for Stanhope Elmore as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Prattville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ty Bryant, who scored 24 points. That was a full 34.8% of Prattville's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Dunn, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Stanhope Elmore's win bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Prattville, they dropped their record down to 4-25 with that loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stanhope Elmore will play host again and welcome the Panthers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elmore County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Prattville, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Chilton County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
