While Portsmouth's win against Timberlane wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Clippers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Owls 9-8. The Clippers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls on Monday, too.

Portsmouth's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Timberlane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season.

Portsmouth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-5 loss against Bishop Guertin on the 27th. As for Timberlane, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Nashua North on the 27th.
