Rochester had to hit the road for their first game and  it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the New Brighton Lions by a score of  5-3 on Monday. Sadly, the  loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
 Max Lyons put in work no matter where he played. He  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Lyons was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Lyons wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jensen Seybert, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases.
 Coming up, Rochester will welcome Freedom Area  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for New Brighton, they will hit the road for the first time this season to  take on  South Side  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
