Despite the defeat, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daylen Jones posted 20 points. Jones' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Demetri Edwards was another key player, putting up five points and 13 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Creekside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Drew only pulled down five offensive boards.
Juelz Scott was nothing short of spectacular for Drew: he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Those 20 points gave Scott a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Pressil, who had ten points and six assists.
Creekside's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Drew, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.
Creekside and Drew could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings.
