The Hill County Wolves will face off against the Winston Eagles at TBD on Friday. Hill County will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Hill County extended their postseason success on Friday against Founders Classical Academy. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 79-31 win over the Guardian. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Jonathan Fisk went supernova for Hill County, rushing for 224 yards and six touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 68 yards and a touchdown on only six passes. Fisk really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. Derek Read got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Winston can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against CenTex HomeSchool as Winston made off with a 56-30 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Winston.
Darren Rodriguez was on fire: he rushed for 123 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 84 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Arnold, who gained 115 total yards and two touchdowns.
Hill County's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Winston, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
