The Crosspoint Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Northwest Yeshiva 69-33 at home. Considering Crosspoint has won three matchups by more than 35 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Crosspoint to victory were Lucy Wasson and Momoyo Iwata. Wasson scored 16 points, while Iwata scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Wasson scored 15 or more points. Halle Kuske was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Northwest Yeshiva still got an impressive performance from Paulina Gamel, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rose Clayman, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Crosspoint's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Northwest Yeshiva, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crosspoint will be home for the holidays to greet Muckleshoot Tribal at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Muckleshoot Tribal's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Crosspoint's offense will have their work cut out for Crosspoint. Northwest Yeshiva won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Summit Classical Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on December 14th. Summit Classical Christian School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
