Falcon has gone 8-2 against The Classical Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Falcons will look to defend their home court against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Falcon and Palmer Ridge, and Falcon kept the tradition alive. The Falcons escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Bears by the margin of a single free throw, 55-54.
Falcon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaray Murry, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was James Murry, who scored nine points and five rebounds.
Falcon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 26 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Classical Academy). They managed a 69-63 victory over Colorado Springs Christian on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
The Classical Academy's win came from a few key players that Falcon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Damian Gehauf, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 51.4% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Wilson Grothe, who shot 42% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds.
Falcon picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-6. As for The Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Falcon hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 59.7 points per game. However, it's not like The Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 56.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Falcon couldn't quite get it done against The Classical Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2025 as they fell 75-62. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
