Platteville is 9-1 against Richland Center since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hillmen will host the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. Neither Platteville nor Richland Center posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.
Platteville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lancaster on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Flying Arrows by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kennedy Shea spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Platteville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lainee Pickel, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Richland Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Dodgeville a 1-0 shutout on Friday.
Not much got past Kyree Fischer, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep Dodgeville off the board.
Richland Center is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Platteville, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Platteville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Richland Center struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Platteville couldn't quite get it done against Richland Center in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 4-0. Will the Hillmen have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
