On Tuesday Cade Middleton kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. The effort marked the fewest earned runs Middleton has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his tenth in a row with more than five strikeouts. This year, he has an ERA of 1.92 over 43.7 innings pitched.

Even though Middleton couldn't lead Pepperell over Model, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Middleton's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Dragons' five-game streak of wins on the road.
