The Meadowcreek Mustangs lost to the Discovery Titans back in January of 2023, but the Meadowcreek Mustangs didn't allow the Discovery Titans the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Meadowcreek came out on top against Discovery by a score of 63-51.
Meadowcreek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daron Sturdivant out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Adonai Mussie was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Meadowcreek's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Discovery, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowcreek will take on Peachtree Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peachtree Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meadowcreek in Georgia (Peachtree Ridge is ranked 59th, while Meadowcreek is ranked 263rd). As for Discovery, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Duluth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Duluth is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
